FROM PLAY TO PERFORMANCE
a pedagogical investigation
Drawing on the teaching and directing methodologies of Jacques Lecoq, Monika Pagneux and Ariane Mnouchkine, the workshop offers skills development for drama teachers, theatre specialists and teaching artists. Movement analysis, games and structured improvisations are designed to promote creative learning and support effective collaboration in the classroom, studio and production environment.
The training expands notions of what it means to play, to perform and how to tell stories with clarity. Consolidating a common creative language equips participants with practical tools to enhance their expressive potential, revealing how quality listening, exploration, experimentation and constructive analysis effectively supports any devised or text-based process with students and performers at all levels of their training and development.

[...] Immensely enlightening, with a specificity and comprehensive understanding of what is needed for story. Wisdom, patience and a belief in our ability, Jeremy pushed me in a way I haven’t been before and it has been invaluable. - Lila McGuire | actor | Perth
[...] I am informed of the strengths, deficiencies and relevance of the modalities I work with, and how I might evolve and refine further as a teacher to serve the needs of young performers. - Kathleen McDonagh | dancer & movement teacher | Studio 58 | Vancouver
