THE PHYSICAL SPACE PROJECT (2015)
Hastings Elementary School, Vancouver, Teacher: Nathalie Davies, Grade 5 French Immersion Class
Residency Dates: January 2016- May 2016
A sensorial and physical theatre exploration of Space, the bigger concept of the Solar System and the physical space we as living creatures occupy, students will be lead in a series of immersive exploratory exercises that will culminate in a site specific informative, informal performance.

THE GREAT COMMEDIA PROJECT (2014)
Burnaby Mountain Secondary; Teacher: Felicity Rudolph ; Grades: 8-12
Residency Dates: March 31, 2014 – April 10, 2014
Much of the comedy we experience today stems from the original European street performers of Commedia. We introduced and reintroduce these stock characters to the students to help them see why these characters can still be humorous in the modern world. Once students played the traditional way of the masked stock characters, we shifted our focus in developing modern versions of lazzo’s – staged comic business- or “schtick.” Students will explore and build new material that is relevant to today’s audience. This exploration built their improvisational skills and supplemented their work that they have done in the past. Students ended this project by having the opportunity to perform to the rest of the school.

WONDERFUL WORLD PROJECT (2014)
Francois Lake Elementary, Francois Lake BC; School Contact: Caroline Deane; Grades: K-7 No. of Students: 100
January 20, 2014 - January 24, 2014
Each of four classes (students grouped in 2 primary and 2 intermediate classes) worked individually to create a school wide collaborative performance that gave each student the opportunity to improve on and demonstrate their public speaking performance skills. Through movement based physical theatre the goal was to provide opportunities for students to further develop their social and emotional learning skills such as gratitude, self-regulation, friendship and social problem solving.

THE PRISM PROJECT (2013)
Windermere Secondary, Vancouver; Teacher: Anjuli Enthoven; Grades: 8-12; No. of Students: 120
November 04, 2013 – November 15, 2013
he P.R.I.S.M. Project (Posture, Rhythm, Internal Spirit, and Mask) set out to introduce physical theatre and mask work to drama students, aiming to help students become aware of how they carry themselves, and how to change it in confidence and secure manner. The goals of this project were to create physical awareness of self and environment, develop skills using our bodies, time, space and weight, utilizing Jacques Lecoq’s physical theatre methods, and applying these skills to masks enabling exploration of a variety of characters. The final product was presented in a prepared scene for an invited audience. We used the masks that were available at the school made by mask maker Gina Bastone
